Killer Bee (born Jose Barrionuevo) is an independent instrumental electronic artist, audio engineer, and music producer from the New York metro area. He has produced for many up-and-coming artists and has played live all over NYC at mainstay DIY venues like Trans Pecos and at schools such as Fordham and FIT. He has opened for many prolific beatmakers and artists and has been featured on prominent blogs such as the Bandcamp Daily section and Passion of the Weiss. Bee has seen success by topping the charts on Hype Machine in the past with his song "Luvsick" and has released several beat tapes and albums, some of which feature tracks that have grown to be cult classics by amassing more than 1 million plays on Soundcloud. Bee has been accepted into various art residencies around the world and was included in the inaugural cohort of fellows at Colby College's Lunder Institue for American Art.
